WOW,
Mary Louise, Thanks for posting...I was worried.....
Could be "Twilight Zone" material.

Candi, Nancy,
Do they have trained monkeys to help people with computers?
I just figured out how to get "new pictures" posted on my page.
WRAY!
JANELLE!
If they would slow down making changes in the software I would be happy........
Old Dog, New Tricks.....
Nancy, maybe you can move these pictures to the Home Page.

Barb and all others asking about the sandpit,
The "pond" isn't that huge...power boats would zip to one side and the other in a few seconds. More sailboat, canoe, pontoon boat size. However, Lake Mac is only about 35 miles from the farm, if some were so inclined.
Oshkosh also has a 9 hole golf course too.
I have to fill you in on all the accomodations.
Yes, we have electrical outlets for campers. Curling irons???? No make-up or primping allowed...showers are o.k., though.
I'm beginning to think I should check into a port-a-pottie for the beach.
So if your camper is rockin', we don't come knockin', right, Barb?
Brownie, Bix, and Painer have to advise me on what all we need.
When I left there today, everything was covered in snow and ice-so hard to think of summer.

The deer definitely looks more alive than Painer in his picture. Can't wait to see what Gary will post about a deer wanting to mount his head! (See Brownie's new photos.)

The Oskhosh outing sounds fun, and even though we will have just returned from a week's vacation the prior weekend of the outing, we would like to go. We have been checking out airfares, including a flight that leaves from Mesa (Allegiant Air) and flies to Grand Island. One thought is that we could fly to GI, Nebraska in the middle of the week (June 8?) and visit my aunt for a day or two. The would have to rent a car or hitch a ride with somebody from Kearney who is going to drive to Oshkosh on Friday or Saturday. Then not sure what to do because Allegiant only has flights on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Maybe we could leave out of Denver (lots of flight choices there), if someone from that area who would be going back on Sunday would be willing to take us to the Denver airport. Not sure who from Colorado is planning to attend. Any thoughts on this, please post them or email us. Thank you.

Posted a couple of new pics of Kearney kids on my profile page. I also posted a sympathy card below the pics, containing 8th grade signatures from a bunch of you. One name I didn't recall on there was "Bob Yentra" or "Yendra"; who was that?

Terry, the Kearney wrestling official looks like Bob Hauver, (Cindy Hauver Foote's dad), but not sure.

Great photos!!! You cub scouts look like you've just done some good deeds.

Nancy,
Yes, Randy B says that is Bob Hauver. We did do a few good deeds when they could get us calmed down.

Terry C., thanks for sharing the latest updates on your profile. I really did enjoy Mrs. St. John as a teacher, but it impresses upon me how difficult the 8th grade time frame must have been for you. I appreciate that you maintain a relationship with all of us, and we are the richer for it.

WOW,
Terry, that group of scouts is the Whittier gang. And YES, that is the same fireplace as it looks today, in the house my youngest daughter is renting from my mom. The second stocking in from the right is mine! Remembering that group, Footie either just said something funny.... or ... someone just cut one.

Brownie,
What ever happened to Stewart Holmes? That kid was strong as an ox; fortunately he was always in a good mood.

Terry,
Stew moved to North Platte before high school, came back to Kearney for college, but it was not for him.... Will have to see if I can track him down, same with the others.
(just for a goof)
Five out of nine.. Hmmm?

I found a couple more sympathy notes which I've added to my page, one from "Home Room 105, Mrs. Richman" kids, & one form Celia HS. Interesting to see who was in those classes.

Terry C.- Some interesting pictures; and your memory is extraordinary! I can hardly remember my dog's name!
Glad to see I DID have a heart at some point in my life.
Love you pics.

Stew Holmes was a fraternity brother in college. His nickmame was "Pinky" (don't ask).

Mole,
Do you think Baker would know where Stew is?

Bob,
So what was Holmes like in college? I imagined him growing up to be Brian Dennehy.

Celia,
Yes, you did have a heart - I'm guessing you still do. You also had great penmanship! Did you get As in that?

I waxed nostalgic yesterday as I drove through lexington, elm creek and kearney while photographing governor candidate Mark Lakers. I had relatives in Lex and E. Creek, and it brought back memories, but not as strong as the ones that came when I drove into Kearney from the west--Bico's, the old TB hospital, the motel my uncle operated, etc.
It truly was a wonderful childhood and there couldn't have been a better bunch to share it with.
(Tan girls that came to my baseball games made it best)

Brownie - I'm pretty sure Brillo would know where Stew is. I just don't know where Matt is (I haven't seen or talked to him in almost 30 years).

TC - I really liked Stew. Great sense of humor and kind of a teddy bear. College just wasn't his thing - I think he was/is a really good electrician.

Rick- I wasn't one of the tan girls, but went to games.
Terry- I don't remember Mrs. St. John, those sympathy cards are priceless. Love the cub scout pics. Mom was a den leader, so I got to tag along. They got to do all the fun things, with knives and hatchets and rope and fire. You all look so innocent..... Also remember the darn pinewood derby cars, when son was in scouts. What a pain, spend months, carving, weighting, painting, trying to keep wheels on and race is over in seconds. Larry even took car to post office to weigh it. Jeff stayed in for the camping. I still have patches waiting to be sewed on in sewing box.
Celia- No primping! One way to keep coyotes away. Those of you who have guitars or other musical instruments, would be fun to have a hootenanny! After a couple.... everyone sounds good. If the camper's rockin' means one of us is trying to get our old bones out of bed to go pee!
Brownie- Thanks for the pics from jaunt, even got one of the common-tater! Was playing 64 when Larry walked in, will be his theme song next year!
All- Have been enjoying??? the really neat gift from Larry, a massive sinus infection. Have them often, but this one put me down.Hopefully will be back to normal soon, whatever that is..... Buy Kleenex stock! By the way, we haven't had Denise join us for quite awhile, hope all is well, and did Terry Y. ever find housing? Well, better go medicate and sleep through another old movie, now that curling is done, yawn. We did enjoy the Olympics, as got to visit Vancouver on Alaska cruise, it is a beautiful and interesting city. Luv ya BarbFM

Great news: the Sand hill Cranes are back. Last two beautiful sunrises have filled the sky with song. Canada and Snow geese comprise most of the lyrics but the raspy throat being cleared in the back ground is either Barb or the cranes. -give me a call if you want to set on the deck.

Barb,
That Kindergarten pic of the class is wonderful. They should have taken all of the class pics outside.

Terry- I agree, we all look more natural in outdoor setting. Your son is so cute in basketball uniform, you'll have a fun future ahead, following all the games. I honestly don't remember Mrs. St John, I do remember Miss James, fudge eating, lip smacking, newspaper reader. You never wanted her to look over that paper at ya. Trouble!
Candi-magic-music-woman- Country Craig Morgan song "Bonfire" please.......in honor of the Buckaroos.thanks, BarbFM
