Steve stayed over at my parents house for a few hours of sleep after the Senior All night party. I have a photograph somewhere that I took of him all hung-over before I drove him to work the next morning. I had the honor and pleasure of visiting with Steve at his daughter's wedding shortly before we lost him. He still had his sense of humor, infectious laugh, and ornery boyish nature. Thinking back, Steve could have starred in a Marlboro commercial, dressed in a black dress cowboy shirt, dark hankerchief around his neck, black hat, boots and wranglers. His beard was thick and coarse about a 1/4 inch long. He just totally looked the part he played in real life. We will miss this friend, forever. -gp
Steve, you were full of mischief and I'll always remember your smile and sense of humor. The fun we had at Aksarben showing 4-H livestock, and other pranks.
